We love the Windjammer, but I am only going on week five - guess I have quite a few more weeks to go before I actually am "sure" that it is a great experience.

Have a wonderful trip! (We really want to go on the Mandy, but she is not there in June.)

Our Windjammer group is considering Allamanda for our post trip stay this November. We like the idea of being on Grand Anse for a change - we have been staying on Morne Rouge. The steps of the Flamboyant really make that not a candidate for many in the group.

jgblankenship - have you found out anything more from Allamanda? Another poster mentioned a dry bar - that would move Allamanda off the list. Any more information on that?
Thanks,

From what I have heard, the pool and the Mariposa are all repaired. Terri, who was the GM went back to Canada, but the owners are still there. I think Monja has some pictures of the pool in the photo gallery. (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Hello, everyone,
just came back from Grenada and I have the following information regarding Mariposa:
The pool looks lovely, however it does not seem to be open yet, at least officially, since some boards of the deck surrounding the pool are not in place yet and the bar was not open as of last week. To say the place is not safe is an understatement. I have to admit, we sneeked in there to have a peek (we were staying at the GEM right next to it). It seemed to us that there were no guests at the time, all quiet except for the renovations going on @ Mahogany Run (part of the Mariposa) which at this time are up for sale as condominiums. No further damage seems to have resulted in Hurricane Emily, so eventually things will be where they should be, but I would think it will take a few more month.
The Flamboyant was up and running, with heavy repairwork being done around their pool and restaurant.
I will post more information as it comes back to me (we just came back last night and we are still in jet lag). Feel free to ask! (bb (bb (bb
