Hi all,
I am returning to the Grenadines for a fourth time, but this time rather than stay with friends I am sampling the delights of a hideaway in Grenada for my first two nights before going to another island visiting. My qeury is this: I thought I had picked Petit Bacaye as the perfect choice (those beds and privacy) but understandably the owner does not want to take a booking for just two nights at that time of year so far in advance. So I am looking for, private, cottage type accommodation, nice big bed (not that uncomfortable two singles pushed together practice!), nearish to Grand Anse but doesn't have to be right there, restuarant on site or nearish, or cook on site. And no need to talk to anyone unless I wander to a bar and share a rum punch. It will be a romantic trip so my head is thinking of seeing the beach from the bed and being able to wander straight from the cottage onto the beach. Am I obsessed with beds?!? Any recommendations welcome. I;m hoping to pay no more than 100 pounds sterling per night. Thank you all. |

I think it will be not that easy to find a real nice romantic place for only 2 nights in the high season, since most of the resorts and villas have a min. stay of 4-7 nights.
My first choice would be the Azzura Castle, this is the perfect romantic place!!! A dream villa, with all the comfort and privacy. and my other suggestions would be the La Luna, La Sagesse, Bel Air Plantation, Calabah Hotel, Ixora Villa or the new Maca Bana Villas. Azzura Castle Blending design influencs from Morocco and East India in a fascinating way, Azzurra Castle sits along its own sea shore at the end of the exclusive Lance aux Epines residential penninsula on Grenada's South Coast, just 7 minutes drive from the Airport and shopping malls. For those who want the real sea, Azzurra has 2 separate swim and sun platforms along it's own shoreline from where swimming, kayaking, snorkelling or jst relaxing are the choices. Website: http://www.azzurracastle.com La Luna: Laluna is a discrete romantic hideaway quietly nestled on three acres of untouched land. This exclusive resort is surrounded by emerald green hills and a pristine white sand beach. Website: http://www.laluna.com Maca Bana: Every villa is cleverly oriented to have sea views whilst also being set amidst lush gardens, planted for maximum privacy and delight, each cottage is named for its surrounding flora and themed accordingly within, Pineapple Villa, Avocado Villa and Pawpaw. The gardens tropical flowers and fruit trees attract butterflies, hummingbirds, bananquits, white egrets and the occasional hawk. Herons live on the cliff-side and Pelicans visit annually every winter, you may be lucky and catch a sight of all of these wild birds! Website: http://www.macabana.com La Sagesse La Sagesse Nature Centre is a 12 room hotel and restaurant situated on a half-mile of sandy tree-shaded beach on the southeast coast of Grenada. It is a wildly romantic hideaway that offers fascinating opportunities for recreation, relaxation, nature appreciation and the serenity in which to enjoy it. I hear Monja & Neil's house is the most romantic place to stay (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
