Hello - this is my first post here. We are going to LaLuna this September for 11 nights staying in the beachfront cottage. 7 of those nights we are doing the full meal plan andi figured that we would venture out for 4 of those days with our rental car. besides that we just want to hole up in paradise...

I was hoping the beach would be very calm with next to no surf so we could snorkel around and not have to fight with the water currents. any feedback?

my situation is unique as i am in a wheelchair albeit very mobile. my husband is in great shape and we travel a lot. but we are wanting a very kicked back hassle free vacation where we don't do much... thw woman who works for my mom has family there and we will see them while we're there so as not to be too far removed from the local flavor - but again - we fall into the category of wanting a very laid back unadventurous holiday and then whatever comes our way while we explore around those 4 days in the middle will be wonderful.

also, has anyone eaten there? any general feedback? we got a pretty decent rate due to season and negotiation. our cottage is smack on the beach - not on the hill and it is their most expensive room. he came down about 35% and i negotiated directly with bernardo the owner who seems to be quite a lovely man.

any info / insight / guidance would be so much appreciated.

thank you
claudia

Hi cloudja,
hope you have a wonderful lazy vacation at the La Luna.
You should have nice quiet surf at the beach there. The only time it would get rough, is if there is a big depression in the caribbean sea or storm in the gulf.
Snorkeling should not be a problem.
Haven't eaten there, but there is no shortage of restaurants within easy driving distance.
All the best, and make sure you pack a camera for those great sunsets.
