Hi. This excursion is far off in the future, June 06, but I am a "planner" - so I continue to plan hopefully what will be the perfect vacation. We are getting married at Bel Air, and will have a small group with us. Probably 11 people total.
I had run across one tour company, Adventure Jeep Tours, that does a full day island tour in open air jeeps. It sounds very fun and perfect for our group as 7 of the 11 people are going to be boarding the Windjammer Yankee Clipper at 5:00 that evening (so we need a full day excursion). I have e-mailed Adventure Jeep Tours a couple of times and gotten no response except their auto response saying they usually respond in 24 hours. I've tried a couple different e-mail addresses as well. Are they still around? If that tour company does not work out, do you know of any other island tours that are full day and wonderful for a group of our size? I liked the jeep aspect of the other tour - any others like that around? Any advice appreciated. Patty This post has been edited by AKEdkuktr: Jul 11 2005, 05:14 PM -------------------- |

Hi Patty,
I just spoke to the owner of Jeep Tours and YES, they are still in business. She did not received your email ( we have some problems here with our ISP caribsurf.com). I forwarded her your post, and she will get back to you ASAP. Monja -------------------- Mieka

Great - I look forward to hearing from her. Another question I have for them is concerning logistics... obviously 7 of us need to drop luggage off at the Clipper that morning if possible - I wondered if they could pick us up, luggage and all; then do a luggage drop at the Clipper. Then, at the end of the day, drop the 7 of us off at the ship and the other 4 back at the hotel. Just trying to figure out how we fit it all in and get the luggage to the ship as well...
Thanks Monja. Yes, wedding plans are fun. (Trip planning is always a favorite for me - I think I should have been a travel agent in another life!) This is a 2nd wedding for both of us, so it will be very small and casual. (Unlike many first weddings...) It will be great to have friends and family travel together and introduce them to beautiful Grenada! We absolutely love the Caribbean, and Grenada is such a magical place. Most people will arrive late on Thursday. I've planned Friday as a beach day at the Aquarium beach (lunch at the Aquarium); Friday night dinner at True Blue; Saturday - guys have choices of scuba/snorkel/golf; ladies have a day out (I was thinking of Spice Island spa for pedicure/manicures & lunch) then pool at Bel Air - oh, and of course wedding in evening; Sunday the excursion... How does that sound? The two couples that are not going on the Windjammer - one leaves the next day, and the other has 2 more days. Any suggestions for their two additional days (without us)? Any feedback or additional ideas? Thanks again! Patty -------------------- |
