> Restaurants Reviews

Grenada's restaurants have a tantalizing uniqueness about them, and sometimes food or service or whatever changes from time to time there. We thought that we would encourage board members who have visited restaurants in Grenada recently to post their comments here, good or bad. The posts would assist all of us in making our choices when we get to Grenada. Thanks

Thanks for the update about the Barking Barracuda.

Keep the list growing (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I love roti and think Sur la Mer at Morne Rouge has the best....along with a Pina Colada. Friends argue the Nutmeg's is better so then we have to go there and try one...along with the best rum punch in the islands of course! Ahhhhhh, a little more than three months to go!

I noticed on the True Blue Resort website, they say that they were named as one of the top three restaurants in Grenada (rated by the Grenadian Tourist Board). Does anyone know what the other two were?

And I have to say, after staying at True Blue a couple of weeks ago, there are many MUCH better restaurants on the island!

Personal favorites when I was there were Coconut Beach, Beach House and The Aquarium.

Agree with Coconut Beach and Aquarium, haven't tried Beach House. Is that on Dr. Groom's beach? Unfortunately, maybe the best restaurant on the island isn't open to the general public. The chef at the University Club does a great job. It's located in LAP; used to be the old Horseshoe Bay hotel and then known by another name.
Just found out I'll be in Grenada to teach at SGU in 2006 the weeks of Feb 13 and June 19. Would love to meet any travelforum folks for a rum punch, sailing, diving, or liming.

Hi Dr. Bob,

I am sorry, I did not noticed before that you asked where the Beach House is in your last post.
The Beach House is on the beach before Dr. Grooms (now Thai Beach).
Plus I just found out that the Barking Barriacuda closed down in Lance Aux Epines.

Please send us an email before you come down again, so we can meet you finally and can take you hashing :-)

No problem. We had dinner at Red Crab last Jan when I met you, Neil, Sandcrab, and some others. But I'd still love to share a meal and a hash, so I'll let you know when plans firm up. Also, other forum regulars (or irregulars), be sure to post when you plan on being in Grenada so others have a chance to meet you for a rummer.

I realize this is a post to an OLD post but we had a great lunch at Almost Paradise up north in February - 4 adults 2 kids and a babe - incredible location and views, lovely owners - just a super place to relax if you're doing the island tour. The cottages looked great and they have their own beach down the hill - would recommend it to anyone traveling up that way (Sauteurs).
