First time posting here, but have found the information so far most helpful (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Trip booked for week of January 23rd at the Grenada Grand Beach Resort and we are looking for internet cafe nearby (or in St. Georges) where we can reaach family in Ottawa, Canada by e-mail. Anyone know of such a service? Many thanks for any information provided! |

Hi and welcome to the board.
Don't worry about getting access to the internet while here. Most of the hotels offer internet access for their guests, whether you have your own pc or not. However, if you are down town and would like to stop in at an internet cafe, there is one located on the carenage, next to the Renwick & Thomson building (can't miss it, it has a big sign and sells alcohol and agricultural stuff). Alternatively, look for where the Rum Runners berth up (2 catamaran party boats). It is directly opposite. Hope you have a wonderful time while here. |

I dont know if either of these places are still open, but just South of the GBR, in the Le Marquis complex, the Digicell store had net access, as well as free net access at the computer store. I know some of these shop's closed after the hurricane, so maybe Neil can tell us if they are still there.

The Internet Cafe in the Marquis Center (DigiCell Phone Shop) is still open. It is just 2 min away from the Grand Beach Resort.

Check with them if they still offer that post-Ivan. They should. |
