Greetings,

This is my first post!
I'm looking for a clean, good hotel to stay at from August 4-14 (carnival time). I am looking for a hotel in a central location (i.e. easy to catch the vans), with a air conditioning, close to the beach (like 5 min walk) and close to restaurants. Ideally, I would like a place with a nice/clean pool too. I have family from Grenada so I figure that I will be out alot in the evenings (especially since it's carnival time) but I do want to use the hotel as a base . It's my husband first time on the island and I never really did any touristy stuff, so I'm excited about this trip. Ideally, I do not want to spend more that $100 USD/night.

I have narrowed it down to Allamanda or Siesta. I am leaning towards Siesta due to some bad reviews about Allamanda on here. But I like the fact that ALlamanda has massage services, a gym and I think room service. However, I think I read somewhere that the bar at Allamanda is dry (i.e. only serve juice). Can anyone tell me about their opinions about either one of these hotels? Also if you know of another hotel that fits this description please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Rai

Wow, $95/night on Grand Anse? Wish I had $ for plane fare!
