I am going to stay 10 to 14 days in november(late). I have found some beautiful sites for villa rentals on island. Has anybody ever stayed in villa? Can you trust web or rental agent discriptions? Can anyone recommend a good rental agency? As an aside I have seen nothing about the Calabash Hotel. Has anyone ever stayed there or can offer a review? Thanks for the help. Neil

Neil,
Click on the Grenada Explorer link just under the blue banner at the top of the page on this site. Go to the left panel and scroll down until you reach the "Investments" heading. Then click on the link under it, "General Infortmation". When the page comes up, scroll to the bottom where you will see three links to bona fide realty & rental agents. Clinck on each of their links and go to their web sites. These are all good, honest, established agents who will do their best to get you what you want. They will not mislead you. They are "Grenada Property Management", "Remax Grenada", and "Island Realty". The Calabash Hotel has been a top end luxury resort in Grenada for many years. You don't see very many reports on it because it caters to the top 10% economically of visitors. I have never heard a negative comment on the hotel in 25 years except that it is pricey. I also think that visitors who stay there don't care if it's pricey, so the pricey comment is really moot. |

Neil,
You should probably be able to get good rates on a villa at that time of the year.I have friends that rent out a place, but I have always stayed at a hotel. I like being around other traveling people more, so the hotel appeals to me. But some of the villas are very nice, and would be a very quiet relaxing option. I am sure you will enjoy whatever you choose. :big Grin -------------------- |

Hey thanks so much for the replies. I just received some great pictures and literature for a brand new villa/cottage resort called Bell Air Plantation in St.David's Harbor. The site includes St.David's Point. There is on-site restaurant called
the Waters Edge. Have you guys heard anything about it yet? If you can discover any insight on the place I'd love to hear from you. You are both great helping me out. Thanks,Neil |
