Our family will be visiting the island of Grenada the 2nd week of April of this year. We are looking to secure accomodations.  We would like to find a house or cottage to rent for the 8 days we will be there.  We found a web page of Coral Cove Cottages near Grande Anse Beach.  They say they have a pool and are on the ocean edge. Can you provide any information on this location or provide us with another suggestion?  Time is of the essence.  We are also going to rent a 4x4 vehicle. Do you have any information about rentals and prices.  We were on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago on our last island trip.  Is Grenada similar???? It is very cold here/today and we are getting anxious to go where it is warm. I thank you in advance for your information. Verna White and Family...Verna, Paul and (daughter) Rae Jean White

Hi Verna,

Welcome to the Grenada Explorer Discussion Board.

I think Coral Cove is a little off the beaten track for your needs, but have a look at some other choices and then make your decision. Check out past replies from members which will assist you in making up your mind.

Please take a look at our parent site http://grenadaexplorer.com

There are about 400 pages there with a panel down the left side of the home page with links to Car Rentals, Accommodation, and a hundred other things. I suggest you take a look at Blue Horizon cottages which would suit your needs well. Check out the following link:  Blue Horizons cottages with pool and located in the actual Grand Anse area.

No, Grenada is not like Trinidad or Tobago. It is an extremely beautiful island and is laid back and friendly with an air of the old Caribbean. You can still find lots of diversity and gracious living in Grenada. Take some time to look at the parent site and you will find a lot of your answers.

Also, you may wish to try the search function at the top of the page in the blue title banner on the right side. Make it simple. Type in "cottages" and indicate you want to search from the beginning, and you will probably come up with many posts about your query.

Good luck, and if you have a specific question, please post it and we will do everything we can to find an answer.
