Hello All,
My wife & I are planning our first trip to Grenada in August. We're consideringstaying at Lance Aux Epines Cottages for a week & Gem Holiday for a week. We like small, quiet places with a good beach and a kitchen to cook in. Any comments? Also, how easy is it to buy fresh seafood and vegetables? Do things get crowded at Carnival time?

Thanks for the help

John

Hi,

LAE is a great area and I've heard great things about the lodging. I will say, however, that my only stay in Grenada was at the Gem, and I was completely happy. The manager was very helpful, the staff friendly, and the views of the sunset were breath taking. It was also quite secluded, felt private, yet was a short walk from Grand Anse, and a long, but rewarding walk to St. George's. The BBC or Morne Rouge Beach is also one of the most beautiful in all of Grenada.

If you don't mind modest, simple lodging with an interior decorating scheme that recalls the 1950's-the Gem is a great choice.

Cheers!

Carl
