Now that I've cancelled my reservation at Bayaleau Point, I cannot get a response from Paradise Inn (email or telephone) -and the Silver Beach is filled- I need to start looking for Carriacou accommodations again. (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

This is one of the hazards of DYI, but I always end up finding hidden joys in out-of-way places. (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Think I should just make it a day-trip? (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

CR

I wouldn't give up yet, a day trip to carriacou is too rushed, when we went the earliest flight from Grenada was about 9.30am which arrived at about 10.15 as we had to go to Union Island first (not sure this is usual). The return flight was about 4.30pm, we were at the airport by 4.00pm, which doesn't leave a lot of hours in the day for exploring and chilling. Staying overnight was a little extravagant when we were also paying for the Grand Beach Resort but it was well worth the extra. (bb

Shame about Paradise Inn, all I can think is Joe has been left in charge (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

It will be a day trip to Carriacou for now-still no response from the Paradise Inn, so I've rearranged my schedule to stay in Grenada all 10 days.
On a Corriacou day trip- Is there someplace to shower before returning to Grenada? (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Ron,

When in Rome....

Just take a sea shower with some sand for soap (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Have you looked at the Grand View Inn, or the Green Roof ?

I have a phone number for a guest house quite close to the Silver Beach if you want that, it belongs to the aunt of one of my neighbors.

Well, Paradise Inn has outdoor showers by the restaurant. So spend your day liming there and shower up before you return. Or if you are out and about you can at least rinse off the salt, sweat, and sand with the fresh water spigot on the corner by the shoeman and the garden restaurant on the north end of Hillsborough town. I believe it is for public use. Enjoy your day in Carriacou!

Back to Paradise!!! (bb (bb (bb
Apparently the problems I had with communicating with the Paradise Inn
back in August were due to various INet problems.
I would like to report that Elin was prompt (with in 1 hour) in replying to my request for a reservation in January, so it sounds like all is well in Carriacou.(IMG:http://hometown.aol.com/tuanzar/images/circle%20emoticons_sor0023.gif)
I'm beginning to have more confidence for my January trip. (IMG:http://grenadatravelforum.com/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
